STORY
The story of ERCOS is one of entrepreneurship, a history of success now being told by its third generation.
The company was founded in 1967 as a cast iron foundry for the production of radiators, which at the time were the most common outlets for domestic heating systems. In 1999, Italy's booming economy, the robust expansion of the building industry, and the introduction of new building materials pushed ERCOS to evolve, transforming into a producer of steel tube radiators.
The Comby® is still sold today, the only completely modular steel radiator in the plumbing and heating market, patented by ERCOS. What came next was a decade of adjustment and fine-tuning, where the main goal of the company was to improve the quality, functionality and efficiency of its products and concentrate on the optimization of production. The range of ERCOS products was soon enriched by Monica, a tubular steel towel warmer and, in 2009, underfloor hydronic heating systems were introduced, rounding out the products available to consumers.
The entrepreneurial vision of ERCOS then made it possible to expand and prosper in a rapidly growing industry that's complementary to the one of heating: bathroom fittings. Thus, the company began to purchase leading enterprises in the sector:
ACB Sedili in 2013, a company based in Bergamo and leader in the production of toilet seats, and Ponsi Rubinetterie Toscane in 2018, the long-standing brand from Versilia which makes brass taps and other fixtures.
The dream of ERCOS increasingly became a focused, clear vision, embodied not only in the expansion of the catalogue to encompass a complete range of bathroom products, but also in the development of the configurator, a tool designed to offer users the ability to compose and preview their new bathroom on their own.
Since 2021, the use of virtual reality has made it possible for ERCOS customers to imagine, design and assemble the bathroom of their dreams with simplicity, And to guide them thorugh an immersive unlimited experience.
In 2022, the ERCOS catalogue expanded once again, thanks to the introduction of a production line for modern, durable shower trays in calcium carbonate and resin, with stone effect texture.
The future of the ERCOS dream is now a chapter yet to be written.
